These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TripLedger — the Android app (the "App"), operated by Black & White Studio ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms and to Google Play's terms. If you disagree, do not use the App.
By using TripLedger you agree to these Terms and to Google Play's terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own group-travel record-keeping.
TripLedger is a ledger — a tool to record expenses, deposits, splits and suggested settlements. The App does not initiate, process or hold funds, and Black & White Studio is not a money transmitter, bank, payment institution or e-money issuer. Actual transfers between members happen outside the App, through whatever method the group chooses.
The split calculations, balances and "who pays whom" suggestions are produced by the App from the data you enter. Outputs are only as accurate as the inputs:
Your tours, members, expenses, deposits, settlements and receipt photos are stored locally on your device. We have no access to them and are not responsible for their loss. Keep a backup (local or Drive); we cannot recover lost data. See the Privacy Policy for details on Google Drive backup.
TripLedger is free to install and use. The free tier is supported by ads served through Google AdMob: banner, interstitial, rewarded video and app-open formats. Two managed in-app purchases are available through Google Play Billing:
Triptripledger_remove_ads) — a one-time, non-consumable purchase that permanently removes banner, interstitial, app-open and rewarded-prompt ads on every device signed in to the same Google Play account. Restorable via the in-app Restore Purchases action.tripledger_tip) — a consumable product that sends a small thank-you to the developer; you can purchase it more than once. Tips are voluntary and unlock no additional features. Consumable tips are non-refundable except where required by law.All payments are processed by Google Play under Google Play's terms. Prices may vary by region and are shown at the point of purchase. Refunds for the Remove Ads purchase follow Google Play's standard policy. We do not receive or store your payment details.
You may optionally watch a rewarded video to earn a 1-hour ad-free pass. The pass is granted locally on completion of the video, suppresses ads for one hour from the time it's granted, and does not roll over or stack indefinitely. The pass is a courtesy feature and may be modified, paused or removed in future versions of the App.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time, and may update the App to maintain compatibility with new Android versions, Google Mobile Ads SDK requirements or Play Billing library requirements.
TripLedger, its name, logo, code and design are owned by Black & White Studio. You retain ownership of the data you enter.
The App includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK (for ads) and the Google Play Billing library (for in-app purchases). If you enable the optional Google Drive backup, your use of Google Sign-In and Google Drive is also governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. EU/UK users see a Google UMP consent prompt before any ads load. We are not responsible for the availability, behaviour or commercial terms of Google services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App's calculations will be free of errors, that ad serving will be uninterrupted, or that the App will be available without downtime.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Black & White Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss (including disputes within your travel group, lost data, profits or goodwill) arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
We may suspend or terminate the licence on breach or misuse. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Existing Remove Ads entitlements remain tied to your Google Play account and will reapply if you reinstall the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, unless your local mandatory law provides otherwise.
