1. Who we are

Black & White Studio ("we", "us") is a software development studio based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This policy covers the website blacknwhitestudio.com, our contact channels (contact form, email, phone and WhatsApp) and the software services we provide to clients.

Our own apps (for example Parking System, Visitor Desk, Restra, ShopPilot and others listed on our products page) each have their own privacy policy, linked from that app's page. If an app's policy differs from this one, the app's policy applies to that app.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, company name, the service you're interested in, budget range, timeline and the details you write about your project.
• Email, phone and WhatsApp: whatever you choose to share in those conversations, including attachments.
• Client projects: business information, documents, credentials and sample data you share so we can design, build or support your software.

Information collected automatically

• Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site). This uses cookies or similar identifiers. We do not use it to identify you personally.
• Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP address and request details to deliver and secure the site.

3. How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare proposals or quotations.
• To plan, build, deliver and support projects you hire us for.
• To send invoices and project-related messages.
• To improve our website and understand which content is useful.
• To protect the site against spam, abuse and security threats.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.

4. Service providers we rely on

We share information only with providers that help us operate, and only as much as they need:

• Web3Forms: delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
• Google Analytics: website usage statistics.
• Cloudflare: website hosting, performance and security.
• WhatsApp (Meta): when you choose to message us there.
• Email and cloud tools: used to communicate and to store project files.

We may also disclose information if Bangladeshi law or a valid legal request requires it.

5. Client project data

When we build or maintain software for you, the data in that software (your customers, sales, visitors, staff records and so on) belongs to you. We access it only to develop, test, deploy, troubleshoot or support the system as agreed. We don't use it for any other purpose, and we don't share it with anyone except where your project agreement or the law requires it. When a project ends, we return or delete project data on request, unless we're legally required to keep it.

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don't become projects: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Project and billing records: as long as needed for the project, support and accounting obligations.
• Analytics data: kept for no longer than 14 months, per our Google Analytics retention settings.

7. Security

We use HTTPS across the site, restrict access to project data to the people working on it, and use access-controlled accounts for code, servers and files. No system is perfectly secure, but if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you promptly.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you,
• correct it, or
• delete it (unless we must keep it for legal or accounting reasons).

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. To make a request, email info@blacknwhitestudio.com. We aim to reply within 30 days.

9. Children

This website and our client services are intended for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

10. International visitors

We are based in Bangladesh and work with clients in other countries. Information you send us may be processed in Bangladesh and in the countries where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always show the latest version. For significant changes that affect existing clients, we'll tell you directly.
