By downloading or using Exp Note: Expense Tracker ("the app"), provided by Black & White Studio, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Use of the app

Exp Note is a personal finance tool that helps you record transactions, set budgets, track accounts, bills, subscriptions, debts and savings goals, and view analytics. The app is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising, with an optional one-time Premium purchase to remove ads.

Your data & backups

Your finance data is stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your own backups using the CSV and JSON export features. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data or losing your device may permanently delete your records, and Black & White Studio cannot recover data stored only on your device.

Not financial advice

Exp Note performs calculations and shows analytics based on the values you enter. It is provided for personal money management and does not constitute financial, accounting, tax or investment advice. You are responsible for verifying figures and for your own financial decisions.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the app lawfully and not to misuse, reverse engineer or interfere with its normal operation.

Service availability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Reminders rely on your device's notification system and timely delivery is not guaranteed.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Black & White Studio is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for any lost data, arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
