This Privacy Policy explains how Black & White Studio ("we", "us", "our") handles information in the TutorDesk app (the "App"). By installing or using the App you agree to this policy.

    Privacy in one line. The data you enter — students, guardians, attendance, payments, exams and expenses ("Your Content") — is stored only on your device. We have no server for it and cannot read it. The free version uses Google and Meta services for diagnostics and ads, which process device and usage data but never Your Content.

1. Offline-first approach

The data you enter — students, guardians, attendance, payments, exams, expenses and similar records ("Your Content") — is stored only in the App's local storage on your device. We have no server for Your Content, we do not upload it, and we cannot read it. You control it.

2. Information you provide

You may enter personal information about yourself and your students (names, phone numbers, photos, guardian details, fees, marks). It stays on your device. You are responsible for having the right and consent to store information about your students and their guardians. If students are minors, ensure you have the appropriate parental/guardian consent under applicable law.

3. Information collected automatically

To keep the App stable, improve it, configure it, and (in the free version) show ads, we use the following third-party services, which may process device and usage data — but not Your Content:

Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports & diagnostics (stack traces, device model, OS/app version, a random installation ID).
Google Firebase Analytics — aggregated app-usage/events (screens, features, approximate region, app/installation identifiers).
Google Firebase Remote Config — downloads configuration/announcements.
Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network (free version only) — show ads and may collect the device Advertising ID, approximate (coarse) location, IP-derived region, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads.
Google Play Billing — processes purchases (Premium / Remove Ads). Google handles payment; we receive a purchase token/entitlement, not card details.

4. Permissions

Internet / Network state — for Firebase, ads and purchases above; your core work is offline.
Photos / Media (picker) — only to attach a photo you choose; images stay local.
Biometric — to unlock the App; biometric data is handled by Android and never leaves your device.

5. Backups

You can export an AES-256 encrypted backup (.td / JSON / ZIP) to a location you choose. We never receive it. We cannot recover a lost backup password.

6. Ads & purchases

The free version shows ads (see section 3). Buying Premium or Remove Ads disables ads. A limited-time free Premium trial may be offered on first install. Purchases are made through Google Play under Google's terms.

7. Data sharing & selling

We do not sell Your Content. Your Content is never shared. Diagnostic/analytics data is shared with Google as our processor; advertising data is shared with the ad networks (Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network) to deliver and measure ads in the free version only.

8. Your choices

Remove ads (and ad tracking by our networks) by purchasing Premium or Remove Ads.
Reset or limit ad personalisation via your device's Advertising ID settings.
Where offered, toggle analytics/crash collection in the App settings.

9. Retention & deletion

Your Content stays until you delete it in-App or uninstall. Diagnostic and advertising data is retained per the providers' settings. For deletion requests, contact info@blacknwhitestudio.com.

10. Children

The App is for teachers and coaching-centre operators (adults) and is not directed to children; it is not part of the Designed-for-Families program. Teachers are responsible for the lawful handling of any student (including minor) data they enter.

11. Security

Your Content is in the App's private storage with optional App Lock and encrypted backups. No method is 100% secure; secure your device and backups.

12. Your rights

Depending on your region (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) you may have rights over personal data. As Your Content stays on your device, you exercise most rights directly in the App; for diagnostic and advertising data, contact us.

13. Changes & contact
