The app has no login or account system, runs no analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not track your usage. We never see your remote layouts, the commands you send, or the data your devices send back.
The one piece of information the app sends to us is a version check on launch, so we can tell you when an update is required. That request transmits:
This data is used solely to determine whether an update is available or required. We do not use it for advertising, we do not link it to your identity, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for tracking. It is the only call the app initiates by itself; everything else (connecting to your own devices) is local.

If you uninstall the app or clear its data, this information is permanently deleted from your device.
When you connect to your hardware, communication is direct and local — over Bluetooth to your HC-05/HC-06/ESP32 module, or over your local network (TCP) to an ESP8266, NodeMCU or similar device. This traffic goes only between your phone and your device. It does not pass through our servers, and we cannot see it.
We request only what the features above need.
You can export a remote as a .json file and share it via WhatsApp, email, Drive or any app you choose. This is entirely under your control — sharing happens only when you initiate it, and the destination is whatever app you pick. We are not involved in that transfer.
The app does not embed third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services. Premium is a single one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play; we never see or store your payment details. If you install the app from Google Play, Google may collect standard install and crash information governed by Google's own policies — not by us.
Your templates, profiles and logs live in the app's private storage sandbox, accessible only to the app — they are never uploaded, so there is no server-side copy of your content to be breached. The version-check request (section 2) is sent over HTTPS and carries only the technical details listed there.
We hold none of your content — your templates, profiles and logs stay on your device — so there is nothing of yours for us to retain or delete. The version-check request is not retained as a personal profile. To remove everything from your device, delete individual items in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall it. Files you exported yourself are deleted wherever you saved them.
Arduino Remote Studio is a maker and education tool not directed to children under 13. It has no account system and collects no personal information beyond the technical version-check details described in section 2.
