By downloading or using Ihsan: Bangla Quran & Salah ("the app"), provided by Black & White Studio, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Use of the app

Ihsan is an Islamic companion app offering the Quran with Bangla translation, prayer times, Qibla direction, a mosque finder, duas, a tasbih counter, a zakat calculator, a Hajj and Umrah guide, and worship trackers. You may use the app without an account by continuing as a guest.

Prayer times, Qibla & calculations

Prayer times and the Qibla direction are calculated from your location, your chosen calculation method and your device's sensors. Results can vary between calculation methods and may be affected by device sensor accuracy, magnetic interference or an imprecise location. These features are provided as a convenience and are not a substitute for your local mosque's announced times. Please verify important timings — particularly during Ramadan — with your local mosque or a trusted local authority.

Religious content & not a fatwa

Quran text, translations, transliteration, tafsir, hadith and guides are reproduced from their respective sources with attribution. While we take care to present them accurately, the app is an educational and devotional tool and does not constitute a religious ruling (fatwa) or personalised religious advice. For matters requiring a ruling, please consult a qualified scholar.

Zakat calculator

The zakat calculator produces an estimate from the figures you enter. It is provided for convenience and does not constitute financial or religious advice; you remain responsible for verifying your calculation.

Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. You may request deletion of your account and its data at any time by contacting us.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the app lawfully and respectfully, and not to misuse, reverse engineer or interfere with its normal operation. Where the app includes any community or submission feature, you agree not to post unlawful, offensive or disrespectful content.

Service availability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Reminders rely on your device's notification and alarm systems, and timely delivery is not guaranteed. Features that require a connection may be unavailable when you are offline.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Black & White Studio is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app, including reliance on calculated prayer times or Qibla direction. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and consumers in the UK/EEA retain their statutory rights.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
