This Privacy Policy explains how Charades: Party Game Night ("the app", "we") handles information when you use the app. Charades is developed by Black & White Studio. The app is built to be private and plays fully offline.
Information we handle
The app does not require an account or sign-up. The information you create stays on your device:
- Game data — custom decks, words and settings you create are stored locally on your device.
- No personal data collection — we do not collect, upload or sell your personal information. Your decks are not sent to our servers.
- Advertising — the app is free with ads. Third-party ad providers (such as Google AdMob) may process limited device data, including advertising identifiers, to serve ads in accordance with their own privacy policies.
- Purchases — the optional one-time "Remove ads" purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. The app itself does not collect or store any payment information.
How information is used
The data you create is used solely to run the game on your device — showing decks, tracking scores and remembering your settings. Advertising data is used by ad providers to serve and measure ads.
Data sharing
We do not sell your information. Aside from the advertising and billing providers described above, the app does not share your data with third parties.
Data retention & control
Because data is stored locally, you remain in control. You can delete custom decks within the app, and uninstalling the app removes its locally stored data from your device.
Children
Charades includes family-friendly decks and is suitable for general audiences. Any adult-oriented decks are age-gated. Where the app is directed at children, advertising is configured to comply with Google Play's Families policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
