Terms & Conditions

Effective & last updated: June 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Arduino Remote Studio — the Android app and any related materials (the "Service"), operated by Black & White Studio ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

Quick summary. Arduino Remote Studio is a no-code tool for designing remote controls that talk to your own hardware over Bluetooth and WiFi. It works offline, stores everything on your device, and is provided "as is". You are responsible for your hardware and for using safety controls when driving motors, vehicles or machinery.

1. Acceptance of Terms

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the Service. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of service

Arduino Remote Studio is an Android application that lets you visually design custom remote controls — buttons, joysticks, sliders, gauges, displays and a serial monitor — and use them to send and receive data with your own devices over Bluetooth Classic (HC-05, HC-06, ESP32) or WiFi/TCP (ESP8266, NodeMCU, Raspberry Pi and similar). It includes starter templates, macros, import/export and safety controls.

3. Eligibility

The Service has no account or login. You may use it on a compatible Android device. If you are under the age of majority in your country, use it under the supervision of a parent, teacher or guardian.

4. Your hardware & sketches

Arduino Remote Studio sends and receives text and data; it does not control how your firmware interprets it. You are solely responsible for the hardware you connect to, the sketches/firmware running on it, and how it reacts to the commands you send. Always test new layouts safely before relying on them.

5. Safety

6. Acceptable use

7. Your data & backups

All templates, connection profiles, macros and logs are stored locally on your device. If you uninstall, clear app data, or lose the device, this information is permanently lost — we cannot recover it. Export your remotes as .json files if you want a backup.

8. Availability & updates

We aim to keep the app working but make no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Updates may add, change or remove features and may require a newer Android version.

9. Intellectual property

Arduino Remote Studio, its name, logo, code and design are owned by Black & White Studio. You receive a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app under these Terms. You retain ownership of the remote layouts you create.

10. Trademarks

"Arduino" and the Arduino logo are trademarks of Arduino S.r.l. "ESP32" and "ESP8266" are trademarks of Espressif Systems. Bluetooth® is a trademark of Bluetooth SIG. These names are used only to describe compatibility. Arduino Remote Studio is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by these companies.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or compatible with every board, module or device.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Black & White Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any damage to hardware, property or persons, loss of data, or loss of profits arising from your use of the Service or the devices you control with it.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app. We may discontinue the app or any feature at any time.

14. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date. Questions? Email info@blacknwhitestudio.com or WhatsApp +880 1945 936934.
