These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of FundNest — including the Android app and any related services (the "Service"), operated by Black & White Studio ("we", "us", "our"). By installing the app, signing in, or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the Service. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of these Terms and any future revisions. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation or Somiti, you confirm you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
FundNest is an Android record-keeping ledger that lets you maintain books for one or more savings/Somiti organizations, including:
What FundNest is not. FundNest is not a bank, lender, broker, payment processor, money-transfer service, credit provider or investment platform. It does not originate, fund, service or broker loans. It does not calculate interest, APR or returns on the user's behalf in any consumer-facing flow, and does not move money between parties. Any numbers you enter — including informal book-entry arrangements between group members — are records you choose to keep; FundNest simply stores and displays them. You are solely responsible for the lawfulness of those arrangements under the law of your jurisdiction.
You must sign in with a valid Google account. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure, your in-app PIN private, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Free plan limits include 20 members per organization, 1 organization, weekly backup and a PDF export quota. Pro lifts these limits and unlocks Excel export, advanced reports, share-out distribution, daily auto-backup and cloud sync. Pro is a recurring subscription processed by Google Play. Cancellation and refund are subject to Google Play's policies.
You are the controller of the member, financial and document data you enter. You are responsible for:
The app is offline-first. All data is stored locally on your device. If you uninstall the app, factory-reset the device, or lose access to it without a backup, the data is permanently lost. We cannot recover local data. Enable Drive backup to protect against device loss.
Drive backups are AES-256 encrypted before upload and live in your own Google Drive (drive.appdata scope). We do not access them. Restoration relies on the integrity of your Drive file and the availability of Google's services.
We aim for high availability but make no guarantee of uninterrupted service. We may push updates that change features, add limits, or fix issues. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
FundNest, its name, logo, code and design are owned by Black & White Studio. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app under these Terms. You retain ownership of your own data.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app is error-free, that totals shown are fit for legal/audit purposes, or that it will meet all your requirements. Always verify critical totals independently. FundNest does not provide financial, legal, tax, regulatory or Shariah-compliance advice; the appearance of any number in the ledger is not advice and is not a representation that an arrangement is lawful or compliant in your jurisdiction.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Black & White Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the app. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and deleting your Drive backup.
